The University of Engineering & Technology (UET) Lahore is recognized as one of Pakistan’s leading institutions for professional education. It has consistently produced a significant number of highly skilled graduates who have made valuable contributions to the country’s technological and scientific advancements. In response to the increasing demand from Pakistan’s expanding industry, UET Lahore extended its reach by establishing the Faisalabad Campus in 2004.
Campus Location
The campus is currently situated on East Canal Road in Faisalabad, an area regarded as the hub of industrial activity in Pakistan. A new campus is being developed on a recently acquired 209-acre plot along the Khurrianwala-Makkuanna Road. Construction is progressing rapidly, as the campus plans to evolve into an independent university in the near future. At present, the campus has four academic departments, and faculty members for the ‘Centre for Advancement of Textile Technology’ have been hired. The center is set to be launched soon.
Programs Offered
UET Faisalabad offers a variety of engineering, computer science, and related programs. At the undergraduate level, degrees are available in BSc Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Civil and Chemical Engineering, Textile Engineering, and Mechatronics Engineering. For postgraduate studies, the campus offers Master of Science and Master of Philosophy degrees in fields such as Applied Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, and more. Admissions are based on merit, taking into account academic performance and entrance exams like the ECAT for undergraduate programs.
