University of Engineering and Applied Sciences UEAS, Swat

Swat University of Engineering & Applied Sciences UEAS, Swat sponsors by Provincial Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as an innovative initiative to internationalize higher education and produce highly skilled human resources to address contemporary challenges.

Swat, known as the “Switzerland of Pakistan” for its beautiful scenic sites, is regarded as one of the country’s most prominent tourist destinations. The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has allocated PKR 7 billion for the establishment of Swat Engineering University as part of a three-year project (2020-2023).

UEAS will offer BS, MS, and PhD programs in various fields, including Electrical Engineering, Mining, Materials and Metallurgy, Computer Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Oil/Gas Engineering, and Bioengineering. UEAS will establish campuses in Kabal, Barikot, Arkot, and Kalam, located in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan.

Financial Projection

UEAS will be a public university, with 60% of its budget provided by the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Meanwhile, the remaining 40% will be generated internally through teaching, research, consultancies, and industrial collaborations.

We expect to generate a minimum of 102.5 million PKR from teaching, based on the fee structure of other public sector universities. As student intake grows in the coming years, we anticipate this revenue will increase.
